MEET OUR OWNER

MARGOT FLETCHER

I have always loved fashion since I was a little girl. It probably began at the age of three when I started ballet, acrobats and figure skating.

I loved performing and the highlight was wearing the beautiful costumes and makeup!

As a teenager I was constantly cutting my clothes to re-design them. My mother was forever cursing me for cutting my clothes. She would say, “I’ll buy that for you, as long as you don’t cut it!” I worked on Saturdays at my father’s sporting goods store. He taught me the importance of community and supporting small local business.

I discovered consignment shopping in my 20s and I was hooked. I have always loved the “hunt” and the ability to find unique one-of-a-kind items no one else has.

I started shopping at Verve Fashion when it first opened back in 1995. I always referred to it as “my favourite store” when people would ask me “where did you get that outfit?” Who knew that some 20 years later I would own “my favourite store.”
